Doc Generator v2

This is a backwards-compatibility release for users of the doc-generator tool.

Newer versions of the doc-generator code will accept less configuration input from the supplemental material document (markdown), and the semantics of directives in that document will change. Use this release if you want to generate documentation using a pre-existing set of configuration inputs that includes directives in the supplemental material.
