This adapter is a replacement for the official TTN integration
The home assistant community has decided to upgrade the core integration for The Things Network so this custome integration will not longer be needed in the future. You can read more about this at home-assistant/core#112491 .
Please notice that this work will take multiple PRs as the policy at Home Asssistant is to use small PRs. Therefore the first PR home-assistant/core#113375 only supports sensors and has no options menu to reconfigure the detected sensors. If you depend on this functionality then you are advised to still use this custom integration for now. On the other side, if you do not use them then new core integration has better testing and will fix some the issues reported here.
As soon all features have been merged at home-assistant/core#112491 i will archieve this repository.
- Support TTN v3. v2 support has been removed
- Supports setup from the UI
- Devices and channels can be renamed using the adapter extra settings
- Can be installed/updated with HACS - add as extra repository
- Enable persistent storage in TTN
- Install the TTN adapter in HA
- Configure adapter in HA: Configuration → Device and Settings → Add Integration → Search for The Things Network
