Hi all!
I have a trouble with modified ida-consonance color profile and IDASkins plugin (release-1.4.1) in IDA 6.8

After startup the program the colors aren't set correctly (1st scrrenshot)!
But after entering in IDA Colors options (2nd screenshot) and then choose "Cancel" button сolors become normal (3rd screenshot).

Perhaps to add a crutch to restart the built in IDA color profiles?

Thanks for the report, that's indeed a bug (as IDASkins aims not to interfere with stock IDA coloring).

However, the default color being black, I already see it coming that people will issue bug-reports about broken colors because they don't have sufficient experience with IDA's color settings to understand why this one specific view isn't colored according to the theme by IDASkins while everything else is. Sadly, IDA doesn't provide any API allowing import of new styles, yet, however I already requested that a few weeks ago and HR told me it's "on TODO", so I guess we might see it in IDA 6.10. With such an API I could ship IDA themes with IDASkins themes, so this'd no longer be a problem. Until that is the case, I think it's better to leave things as they are, as probably only a handful of people will select custom colors for their message view while the rest is better off with the current behavior.

I'll leave this issue open until a good solution for this is implemented in the plugin. For the time being, as a workaround, you can set the color in the stylesheet.qss of the <IDADIR>/skin/idaskins-dark directory using:

MainMsgList {
    color: #dddddd;
}

Obviously, altering the color according to your liking.

Edit: Removed "fix" because it doesn't work for colors other than black.
Edit 2: Added workaround.

What about "Navigation band"?

Well, you got a point there. Besides that, the background of the message window is also customizable via stock color settings, so it shouldn't be affected by the plugin either (so that's a bug, too). I'll see if I can implement a fix for that in the next version.
