They do the same thing - authenticate user on network. Why people have to choose which of them to use? Especially, when they don't know what SASL is, they are more likely to enable nickserv instead of sasl, even if networks supports SASL.

Anything I'm missing?

So combine them into one module, say servicesauth, that then lets the user set an authmode and password (and username if needed)? Sounds fine.

Duplicate or at least closely related to #786 or even makes it a duplicate?
