automatically append .exe to zig.path on windows

Bun's repository has a custom setup to install a specific version of zig, repository local. There is this configuration in .vscode/settings.json

  "zig.path": "${workspaceFolder}/.cache/zig/zig",

This works fine on posix, but on Windows machines it breaks down:

Can there be either a way to configure this flag per platform, or simply append .exe if the first query doesn't exist?
