The initial implementation of Wholesale Pricing is/was intended to mimic the functionality of the now existing plugin. Your suggestion is a good one for follow-on implementation (unless I get time freed up prior to the initial release).

I intend to detail in the Discussion what extra glue I've added to provide a more comprehensive trade solution, but as usual I've gotten sidetracked and it's not finished/live yet.
