Add a row with the favourite / last used icon in the drop down menu.

This is not exactly what you wanted, but the icons will now be sorted by the frequency of their usage - the most used will be shown first.

Current versione 59.4 do not sort icons by the frequency of their usage.

Trilium has entered maintenance mode. Future enhancements will be addressed in TrilumNext: TriliumNext#150
