  • Identify the activities which have SDG sector 7,8 and 9 set. See sector vocab and sector element
  • Do a quick analysis of the data after the identification to see the status of SDG sector tagged activities
  • Home page SDG image now should be clickable with each SDG having their own page
  • each SDG sector page will resemble existing sector page. (needs discussion on the design and the content)

This feature allows the user to see the SDG tagged projects. This will involve in creating the feature similar to the options we currently have for sectors. We will use the same codes and page designs as sectors but will use the sector vocabulary of “SDG” instead of OECD. The homepage will list the SDGs (replacing the current SDG picture) and the individual SDG pages will show the statistics for countries, agencies and SDG targets and indicators.

We have started implementing SDG sectors activities in the portal. Currently, we haven't found any activity implementing in SDG sector.
Here are some queries that I would like to ask:

  • should the URL to SDG sector be same as for sector group like:
    http://open.undg.org/ctrack.html?sector_group=1&tongue=eng#view=sector
  • should there be a design change for SDG sector detail page or the sector group page is good for now?
  • since there are no data related to SDG sectors, should we show the detail page but with no data in it or should we disable the link to the detail page.

Hey Biju, this is Jesse from UN DOCO. Build the SDG page off the sector group page but disable the link to the details. No point on putting one page of no data leading to another page of no data. I'll be coming back in the new year with design change ideas as well. Thanks for all the good work.

I think for the staging site, we could have the link to SDG page and later we disable it during production. Do you think you can get hold of activities with SDG sectors for test purpose? @forsythej

@forsythej Currently, we have just added clickable icons for SDG at the bottom part of the home page. We have redirected to a page but doesn't show any data for now. You can have a look at it in here http://undg.staging.yipl.com.np/

The staging page with the clickable icons was exactly what I was expecting. Well done. Now we only have to wait for the publishers to use the SDG codes.
