Explanation on values in database?

Hi I'm interested in trying this.

I'm confused about what values go in the columns for orders in the database?

What is the difference between quantity and amount? Also what is side value?

For profit for 1% would I use 0.01 or 1?

Quantity mean = how much can you buy this coin like let say 100 XRP ( XRP : 0.295 $ Currently) and you buy 100 xrp and it is mean you when you buy you spend 29.5 $

Amount : Thing like price

and use 1 for %1 profit
