Problem is: there are no badges. There has been a design offer, but there was no follow-up since 2019. After that TheTedd (I think) offered to work on a badge design, but there is none yet. Then it got quiet again for more than a year, if I remember correctly. Mapping badges is no problem, but the lack of design is.

The design offer for the badges that is being mentioned is the one provided here, by mray. I believe that his Github username is @MaurycyLiebner.

At the time, the XSF dropped the ball at following through with the offer for that design. Much later, there was general agreement that mray's design was by far the most appealing. We have not been able to re-establish contact with the designer though.

Over the past few days, I've tried reaching out to him through various means, without much luck. As a last-ditch effort, I'm mentioning them here. @MaurycyLiebner, would you be willing to work with us to finalize the designs that you made, or release the source material under a license that permits us to move further with them?
