I will be the first, to make this less scary looking—and also to get the obvious entry out of the way :) License: As the Haskell logo is licensed under the simple permissive license, I will do the same here. SVG

Perhaps, not a finished logo, but an idea for someone who can do better job with graphics. In case, the idea is interesting. SVG

I'll give it a shot. "Modern Basic" is a variation of the already existing logo. Don't know a lot about copyright but the simple permissive license looks good to me. SVG:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

EDIT: Based on Feedback from friends I updated the logo's I will submit. While everyone seemed to like the curved wide best it was just too wide - so I made the side pieces smaller. Feel like those are not the variations I should have commited on or have other feedback? Let me know, I'm open to suggestions :) Original PostI expanded on the idea of @slotThe and tried to give it a professional look. For the color scheme I tried out 3 different variations: Haskell colors, xmonad classic colors and x11 colors. I ended up enjoying the classic colors with the angular look and the haskell colors with the curvy look the best. The latter has a playful yet professional look. Suggestions are welcome!License: CC-BY-SA 4.0 |

Important Addendum Number 2Well, this was certainly unexpected. I want to thank everyone who's submitted a logo so far—none of us thought we'd get so many great submissions! Because there are already a lot of logos here, we decided that the current deadline is really a little too far out; lest people forget about voting :) As such, we have changed the deadline to the end of this year, that is, the 31st of December. Voting will begin on the 1st of January and will be open for two weeks, as originally planned. I hope this is not too abrupt a change and people who are currently working on their submissions have time to get them finished and posted here! |

Here is my contribution, hopefully I'm not cheating here, it's the same design with variations of color, light and dark, and layout differences. This was a lot more challenging than I anticipated. I felt like all the most iconic ideas were already presented, and everything I cam up with was just derivative, but here it is anyway (UPDATED) Working Title: Xmonovad |

Hello Everyone. My proposal goes by "Minimal XM". Geometric figures resemble letters X and M on one hand, and some kind of dual-screen with a bar on top on the other. The top figure is also a slight reference to the Haskell logo. Example icons:SVGsCC BY-SA-4.0 Colored<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
