This should be a configurable setting, but needs to be tested very carefully so that sensitive information isn't exposed. I think a separate public endpoint would be the best idea so that it can be sandboxed and managed separately from the authenticated endpoint.

originally part of #4055

There doesn't seem to be a huge amount of interest in this so I think we can shift this to a future release. Ideally this would be disabled by default and enabled through an admin option.

I've moved this feature request to the Roadmap for voting, planning and future development.

This would be an absolutely amazing feature!! I'm working on an iOS SDK for WooCommerce and there are a lot of hurdles to work out when it comes to authentication, almost like every call needs to go through a middle-man server to properly authenticate with a ck/cs and relay the data back.

I've been thinking that a plugin for wordpress/woocommerce would be my temporary solution, with a dream that it would be adopted in the WC core as an admin panel feature.

Is there anything I can do to maybe help push this along?
