Redo Bug

I found out by pressing ctrl Z, you can erase boards and never get them back. To make matters, worse it saves automatically and I can't open a previous saved file. I tried to redo, but the boards just don't back. Please fix this as I've now lost about an hour of work... I saw someone else had a similar issue back in 2017. Nothing seems to have been done about this still.
