No features available on UGS screen when opening -first time user #2180

when i open UGS (either with machine connected ,or not)-none of the standard features are available
ie click file to import code and pic but no option to do ,the same with machine-standard windows stuff -see pics

I've reinstalled it ,updated java etc...clicked "reset windows" in UGS.....this is my first time of using my 3018 machine...very frustating..hopefully you good people will have an easy answer!!

What version of UGS did you download? It is usually specified in the title, but something is clearly not loading properly.

The best way to figure this out is by supplying log files.

They are located either here:
C:/Users/[your username>]/AppData/Roaming/ugsplatform/var/log/messages.log

Or here depending on which version you are running
C:/Users/[your username>]/.ugsplatform/2.X/dev/var/log/messages.log

Yes but I was expecting a lot more, there is no errors or warnings that could give a hint on what is going on.

You could try and delete old settings and cached files:
C:\Users\bruci\AppData\Local\ugsplatform

And
C:\Users\bruci\AppData\Roaming\ugsplatform

you've fixed it,without doing anything !!.......to get a new log,after your advice ,i uninstalled all UGS stuff and started again with an install...looking good,now coonnected !!

Thanks for your help,....if in doubt REBOOT !!!
