Is this project dead?

Last commit was almost a full year ago, last PR was touched in December. Have people moved to Rails 5 + ActionCable? Are people still successfully using this project despite the 170 open issues?

it's still in production for us. Rails 4.2 with puma.

I'm successfully using this with Rails 3.2 in production. #191 showed up but is easily worked around.
