I'm getting this in my logs while attempting to use the inhabited shader - there are no other warnings or errors, and everything else with Dynmap besides inhabited is working fine.

inhabitedTicks field not found - inhabited shader not functional

How do I configure something to actually add inhabitedTicks to my chunks?

custom-normal-hi_boost_xhi.txt snippet for inhabited:

- class: org.dynmap.hdmap.HDMap
   name: inhabited
   shader: inhabited
   lighting: default
   mapzoomin: 0

Is this still bothering you?
Please head over to the new community forums for Dynmap at: https://forums.dynmap.us
and provide as many details as you can, so we don't have to ask for everything in particular ;)

Thanks

It's definitely bothering me, and google is not sharing the secret on how to fix this or if any developer is on it or not.
And have you looked at that forum, by any chance? There are no posts except for some spambots that want you to sign up for online casinos. So unless that's some coded language I don't understand... :D

But from the code I found I take it that some properties that id chunks as more or less changed has changed, probably with some MC update, and hence the information isn't present. Can this be fixed at all or does MC simply not track that kind of information anymore?

I second this, I'd also like to know more about the inhabited shader, I'm unable to get it to work (same problem as OP).
The forum mentioned is not usable - search just throws an SQL error (Table './mikeprim_forums/phpbb_search_wordmatch' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed [144]), and all I can see is spam posts.
If this shader is still an existing feature of Dynmap, I'd greatly appreciate a short info on how to enable it in the wiki.
