Currently webOS does not support these kind of objects, i.e. the recurrence is infinite.
The iCal conversion could alter the event to reflect the supported "by date" rule. Issue: quite a lot of work and probably error prone. Can we let somebody else do the work of "rolling out" the recurrence? How does the calendar app do this? Maybe there is something like TimezoneManager hidden in the frameworks, that already does the nasty work for us, then it might be easy.
