Issue
If your username on Windows has non-ASCII characters in it (for example "asdfØØ"), beatoraja will not start when you click "Play".
Reference:
Fix (without changing your Windows username)
Edit your beatoraja-config.bat config file, and add this before the first line
where blahblah can be any name that only uses ASCII characters.
So your beatoraja-config.bat file looks something like this:
(remark: the REM *** line is a comment line, it does not affect anything)
Explanation
beatoraja uses the libgdx game library. When beatoraja is started, it creates a temp file in the AppData folder named "libgdxXXXX", where "XXXX" is your windows username. If your Windows username has non-ASCII characters, the game may not be able to read this folder.
If you apply
set USERNAME=blahblah
at the start of the bat file, the AppData folder will be named "libgdxblahblah" instead, which will cause no issues.Source:
