@EdwardAThomson @gitcoinbot This is a link to video |
Hey @EdwardAThomson - I've done a few explainer videos for blockchain companies and won a competition with one of them. Check them out at the links below: https://youtu.be/0u_X4KLYHek I usually do custom motion graphic videos. Are you looking for that or more live action? Would love to talk to you more about the requirements. Here is my portfolio site too, if that interest you. Curious if this is something you are contracting for or are you just accepting submission and going to pick 2 people to earn the bounty? |
Hey @flynnstone9 - thanks for showing interest. I've yet to take a look at your videos but a colleague did take a quick look and he said he liked them. We can do either animations or live action. Both can work for different reasons, and I think we are fairly open to either possibility. Re: Bounties: We will pick 2 submissions that we think are worth of the bounty. That said, we are looking to reload the fund pots and attract in more submissions. As you can appreciate, it was easier for me to get approval for funding 2 submissions rather than 20. If these bounties go well then I've told that I can get approval for further funding. Re: Contracting. Definitely possible, but I'd need to get back to you on that. There is likely to be more things that we'd want created. This bounty seemed like a nice way to attract some talent and get something built. We've been fairly learn on videos so far. What would be the easiest way to follow up on that? The email address listed on your site? Hey @ghuun, let me try to review your submission soon! |
Awesome, thanks @EdwardAThomson for sharing them. Yeah, connormflynn@gmail.com is perfect. Love to talk to you guys about your requirements and what you are looking to achieve with the videos. |
Hey Connor, I finally had a watch of your videos. Those are well done! I'd encourage you to try the bounties. They wouldn't be as long as the ones you've linked to. For other videos in the future, I need to sync up with the team first. |
Hey @ghuun any chance you can get this videos hosted somewhere, like YouTube? I'd prefer to stream the videos than download. You can make videos private but still have a shareable link with YouTube, probably true of other platforms too! |
@EdwardAThomson is there a specific length you need for the video, could I start work right away? |
Yep, you can start straight away. There is no specific length, but we do want one of our three topics to be clearly explained! @sypha999 |
Hey @mornjtech It says video unavailable. Can you double check privacy settings? |
@EdwardAThomson @gitcoinbot have you seen it? |
how do I submit a work? @EdwardAThomson |
Hey @mornjtech I sent this to my colleagues to review. They have a better idea of what we want from videos. Let me chase them and get back to you. Edit: See my update below.
Hey @sypha999 Normally: You can submit work on Gitcoin. You can create an account there via your GitHub account (if you haven't already). You can upload the video to YouTube (or another streaming site) then paste the link into your submission. See my update below. Update: after speaking with my colleagues, there has been a suggestion that we may be taking a different approach to animation. Consequently, we may close this bounty as we pursue another avenue |
Update: after speaking with my colleagues, I have been told that we will be taking a different approach to animation. Submissions should be withdrawn as we will close this bounty and pursue another avenue of funding animations. Apologies for the inconvenience this creates and many thanks for your understanding. |

We need more videos and animations to help explain Polkadot. In this bounty we desire the creation of videos / animations that explain some of the key issues in Polkadot.
These are our current areas of interest:
