One of the expectations is about the maintenance and further development of the WoT Web page (w3.org/WoT):

  • @mlagally : no expectations on CG doing this
  • @mmccool : the web page development is also not in the charter of WG/IG and it can be considered community outreach.
  • @egekorkan : WG/IG should work on technical reports, thus not on the web page. We can say that only some parts cannot be edited by CG.
  • @relu91 : it would be better to let CG do the work on the website
  • @egekorkan : one proposal would be let CG not edit the WG, IG, Task Forces and Meetings pages

Here are my expectations overall. I will write it separately for both point of views (PoV):

From IG/WG PoV

The CG ensures that a community that uses the standards developed by the IG/WG is active, growing and interested in using WoT. This means that CG establishes a nice environment for information exchange between CG members and also strives to bring more interest to the CG and thus WG/IG.

From CG PoV

The CG works mostly independently however it expects some support in terms of tooling (webex, irc, github).

Another point coming from w3c/charter-drafts#394 (comment), it would be nice that the WG/IG directs questions or similar issues to the CG. This way, the issues of the specifications will be easier to maintain and there can be more support from the community.

Additionally, I want to make sure that we capture everything about WoT that happens in the whole wide world.
