During the work of "What is WoT?", we have started creating a webpage (available here for now). However, we need to carefully consider how we structure the web presence of the CG since that will influence how the URLs will look like.
Below are some discussion points, feel free to extend/comment on them :)
Hosting and implications
For hosting, we have two options at the moment but we can think of more if need be:
w3c.github.io/wot-cg/
. We have to use Jekyll or store vanilla, static html on GitHub. There is beta feature to use GitHub actions so that can make things more flexiblemyproject.netlify.app/
. We can host anything static.Content of the Page
So far the tutorial is going to be there but we can also use it to host other stuff in the future. We should not compete with https://www.w3.org/WoT/ and be a homepage for WoT. We can host information that is similar to our https://github.com/w3c/wot-cg/blob/main/README.md but also embed YouTube videos of meetups etc. In the future, it can host other tutorials, for example how to set up a WoT Thing on a Raspberry Pi and similar.
Structure of the Page and URls
I imagine having a simple landing page that says "welcome to the CG" and gives links to different subpages like tutorials, videos, and also documents the office hours etc.
