Cannot get change over time in Jupyter Notebook.

Hi, I am trying to get the column layer changed over time, however my map is static and nothing changes.
I even tried to replicated the example here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-dGU80hNOw : the year changes but the map is still static. The video was released in 2021. Is it possible that pydeck lost the functionality of deck.show() and deck.update()? I am working in google colab by the way. Please help. The code for replications is below:
