When you select Notify customer on the order history page it is failing to update the database ie setting notify to 1 so no notification email is sent and the history table says no. No errors are appearing in the logs and everything else appears to work on the history page, adding comments, changing order status etc. The automatic customer notification is also sent after a successful order and the database is updated then.

I have tested clean copies on a local server and the error occurs with the update to version 1.11.0 onwards. Its is not here in 1.10.2. PHP version has no effects on the problem.

Noticed on Version 1.11.1, PHP 7.2

You might try this https://github.com/nivocart/nivocart
It's from the same author, but has some more enhancements.

Or then use one of my OC v.1.5.6.5-based Versions:

@Tangol Very "confident" a "fork" with no progress and further development since 2,5 years.
And their main webpage is not working ..

@osworx It's funny that the "fork" is actually this product that got taken to the next level.
OpenCart-Overclocked is even older than NivoCart.
Also, it's the same developer on both.

@Tangol no problem in using that "fork" - used it for a client once in the past.
But how confident is it to point to a website and that does not work?
And not to forget: this "project" is rather old, doubts me if it will work with php 8.1.x (which you will need in the near future as minimum).

btw: I know the developer and he knows me ..
