[Feature Request] Ability to select and/or group multiple layers

Would be very nice to have the ability to select multiple layers (e.g. to move them all at once). Shift-select / Ctrl-select would be typical expectations.

Relatedly, would be nice to be able to group layers as in Photoshop and other popular image editors:

I would like this too, but this probably would take some time to implement... Currently low priority only because of lots of work.
