KWB.c is listed, but CLI with -s/-S and foobar/Winamp do not playback files as they are. They extract as .SND, have an SND header at 0x0, a tdpack header at 0x50, _HBW0000D and KWB2 headers at 0xA0, and a _DBW0000 header under that.

You mention those samples are extracted, how were they extracted and from what files?
Also which platform?

Platform is PC (Steam). Game is specifically from the Master Collection. Files were extracted from the databin using doatool, admittedly the only utility out there.

Seems doable but due to how it's designed may take time to adapt the code. Meanwhile post a few samples from NG2/NG3 Master Collection for comparison (even if they are playable).

Don't want to waste your time--NG2 and 3 are stored as XWSFILEs, which I opened an issue on before and has since been closed. I haven't been able to figure out the CLI, even with -s/-S, but a .py script I have extracts the KVS files just the same.
