Full error message is the following:

"Error: The specified Root Directory "site" does not exist. Please update your Project Settings. Learn More: https://vercel.com/docs/build-step#root-directory"

Seems that the Deploy button does not trigger a successful deployment to Vercel.

Where is the deploy button you're clicking? The template page? The README? I tried both and they worked for me.

The deploy buttons really shouldn't be modifying the root directory. It should be empty and not say "site". Is this something you changed post deployment?
