I have checked the following:

  • I've searched existing issues and found nothing related to my issue.

Describe the feature you want to add

Although issue #253 is somewhat related, I would like to suggest making the menu items for the macOS Bruno app more like your standard typical macOS app.

Mockups or Images of the feature

This would mean:

  • Creating a new File menu (right next to Bruno in the menu bar), and moving the 'Open Collection' and 'Open Recent' menu items (now under the Bruno menu) to be placed under the new File menu.
  • Then, for the Bruno menu, leaving 'Settings...' as is.
  • (optional) Adding the Services menu item, as seen in other standard macOS apps.
  • Adding a new 'Hide Bruno' item with the existing Cmd+H shortcut.
  • Adding a new 'Hide Others' item with the default shortcut (Opt+Cmd+H).
  • Adding a new 'Show All' item.
  • Renaming the 'Quit bruno' item to 'Quit Bruno'.
  • (optional) Removing the non-standard 'Force Quit' menu item, since this menu item is already available system wide under the Apple menu > 'Force Quit...'.
