Could not show the double language mode in my blog

I have followed all the instructions, while the website is not multilingual (actually only English and Chinese) yet. Could you please help me check if my settings are correct in my repository.

My blog is bioinfostar.

The polyglot plugin is not whitelisted by github, and cannot be used to automatically generate a gh-pages website. This is for security reasons done by github.

You have to manually run jekyll build on your computer locally when developing your website.
And then push the built website manually to your gh-pages branch.

I just build my blog in github.io, not a gh-page, how could I do this?

This can be done nowadays by building your site and publishing it with GitHub actions. Check my template, or more specifically the GitHub action responsible for building and publishing it.
