Can not export in vscode to PDF or PNG using ssh remote plugin

I'm using umlet v15.1.0 in vscode on a remote sandbox using ssh remote plugin. When I try to export PDF or PNG to remote file system I get no error message but also no file is recreated.

When I click on "show local" and select a local path it works. So I have to scp the file back to the remote end to get the desired result.
