This will disable the ability for iexplore.exe to run on a system and redirects requests to the latest stable build of Edge installed on the machine.

How does the requested change fit within the guiding principles? This prevents the launching of an EoL application that is still embedded into the OS, Internet Explorer compatibility in edge exists for the remaining sites that use this application.
