In short:

npm-shrinkwrap diff
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

/usr/lib/node_modules/npm-shrinkwrap/bin/cli.js:55
                throw err;
                ^

Error: Command failed: git show HEAD:npm-shrinkwrap.json
fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

npm-shrinkwrap is assuming I'm using Git. It would be nice if it would support hg too. Or if not, at least say so rather than erroring out.
