Digit shift when clearing the beginning of the mask

Hi, I have this masked input

When I completely erase the date, but leave the time
the mask transfers time to the place where the day and month should stand

1_.__.___, 20:05

after I erase 1
the input value becomes like this:

20.05.____, __:__

But I expect:
__.__.____, 20:05

• this happens when I make the input controlled
• as far as I understand
  it ignores the underscores _ in value
