Anki like webpage possible?

Hello! I am a beginner, but I would like to setup Anki Server. Is it possible to set up an Anki like website? And will the addons be still available from the main source at the Anki webpage? thank you! andreas

It is not possible to set up a website like Ankiweb. You can definitely still use the plugins though.

@AntonOfTheWoods I'm looking at the possibility of writing a web frontend (as a separate project). There isn't any kind of API yet is there?

Sorry, just replying now. No, there isn't. But have a look at https://gitlab.com/transcrobes/transcrobes/blob/master/transcrobes/ankrobes/views.py. It's a nasty hack for the moment but if someone can contribute some code then I'm also interested in making something generic.

Do anybody know why the API was dropped?
In the original fork (https://github.com/ankicommunity/anki-sync-server) a API was included?
Is it possible to reintegrate it?
