Ovaj sudar je bio posmatran u vremenskom periodu od milijardu godina (10^9 ) koliko obično traju sudari dve galaksije. Ispitan je slučaj sudara dve identične, spiralne galaksije, koje su, dok su bile izolovane, bile stabilne. Galaksije su predstavljene N-body sistemom. Algoritam koji je koriscen ima vremensku slozenost θ(n^2)
