Using cloud services is a no brainer in any modern IT and software development project today. But deciding the best strategy to use the public Cloud is not always easy because of different factors : vendor lock-in, personal data ownership and geolocation, regulation, governance and existing legacy). The Cloud Service Providers simplify the management&operations but at the cost of getting coupled to its services APIs. In this talk different strategies to adopt cloud are introduced and analysed
