ESP32 na IDE Thonny apresenta: Device is busy or does not respond. Your options

Comprei um ESP32 para um projeto de IOT, instalei o drive e o pc reconheceu normalmente. Porém ao instalar a IDE e começar a instalar o micropython no esp32 ele me apresenta sempre esse erro:

Device is busy or does not respond. Your options:

• wait until it completes current work;
• use Ctrl+C to interrupt current work;
• reset the device and try again;
• check connection properties;
• make sure the device has suitable MicroPython / CircuitPython / firmware;
• make sure the device is not in bootloader mode.

Já instalei firmwares antigos e atuais, troquei de porta USB, dei flash no esp32 instalei novamente o firmware e firmwares diferente, mas sempre permanece essa mensagem. Reinstalei a IDE, mas nada resolve. Desde já gradeço a ajuda!
