Cowardly refusing to make a project inside $THEOS

Hi,
When i am trying to run the following command : $THEOS/bin/nic.pl
i m getting the following error : Cowardly refusing to make a project inside $THEOS

$THEOS = /opt/theos

i already tried to change folder but nothing helps.

is there any solution for this problem ?

You shouldn't create the project inside the $THEOS folder.

Try this:

cd ~
$THEOS/bin/nic.pl

i actually found a solution by editing the nic.pl file and deleting the error event and all worked fine.

but its better to use the solution you provided.

Why in hell would you remove an error handler that was stopping NIC
from making projects inside your godforsaken theos folder?

Just curious: what could possibly compel you to think that that was a good idea?
