When I try to join a classic channel with +k set on it, it works when I manually join with the key. However when I reconnect to the network the key is lost and I need to rejoin manually by hand.

does it work when you instead of /join you do so via the GUI?

It does not.

We just pass the pw arg through to the underlying IRC server, we don't do anything else with the password currently.
