Lua is officially supported in Neovim! Let's update the spaghetti Vimscript configurations to Lua and get a cleaner, more portable setup.

Remaining steps:

Use a Lua-based plugin manager with support for VS Code's VSCode Neovim extension.
Convert highlight/highlight-group settings to Lua
