Getting really bad results? #116

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this, but I'm trying to OCR these images:

And I'm getting abysimal results. Just some random characters.

I tried inverting the colrs, and playing around with contrast and brightness using ImageMagick, to no avail.

Am I doing something completely wrong? On first glance, these images don't look too challenging?
