If it could be made that you can read stories right in the terminal it would be perfect.

If you will read Article in terminal then it will become little boring.

Maybe the article would display text only, markup hidden, in the CLI when prompted with --client or some other kind of flag with devto.

Umm Ohk, I was planning to do this but the only problem is you won't be able to see images (duh!). For me then experience will be ruined for some articles.

You don't need to worry about that as someone who want to see images will open it browser.

This is a huge leap, but how about using an ascii image converter library just for the sake of it? Clickable link added too, of course.
Would look super cool.
