Hi. I know this is an old post but in case it helps others:

To "try out" taffybar ephemerally, use nix run github:taffybar/taffybar#defaultPackage.x86_64-linux. You can build it to a local directory with nix build github:taffybar/taffybar#defaultPackage.x86_64-linux. The binary will be contained in the ./result/bin/ directory.

@rgri That's not really what this post is about. That really only builds a binary that you could theoretically use with a dyre style config.

This issue is about making a haskell project style config working example

Ok! I think that would have been more clear if it were described in the OP, instead of just what looks like placeholder text. Otherwise, I would say what I commented could constitute a "fully working taffy bar with nix flakes example".
