Related to my other issue, It would be really great if it would be possible to save a copy of my log in a simple markdown format. I blog and use hugo to blog. If I had a text template I could provide and then use a few variables like datetime/tag, and an option to set a save destination to on adding a lot entry, I could have it save a markdown file so I could add these to my blog for recording progress.

Is that something you've considered doing?
For reference: Microblog Github Repo outputs to microblog

I've thought about using the other templates out there to log, and still might, but simplifying publishing or creating a simple markdown file with the log built into vscode might make it super quick and more likely for me to log this on my site.

Thanks again for the great work, and if not something in scope for your work no problem.

Thanks for creating this issue! I think this is a great idea. We’re going to add this to our roadmap.

Bump :-) I still use my own hugo based blogging method because I can't customize the template and output to markdown. Totally fine if outside the scope, but would love to integrate this instead as I continue on this journey.

If you want feedback on output format, the link above shows how I do it. I have to calculate the current day, log the right tags, and also include "Round" for the 100DaysOfCode to be specific to a goal/language/tech.

I plan on continuing this over-time so that Round 1 finished with Go, might be followed by another language or perhaps 100DaysOfServerless for example.

This extension would be really helpful to simplifying this if I could use integrate with my repo and customize the layout of the output from my logging.

Bump. Still would enjoy a way to set a destination template for output.
I'm using archetype with a script to create on demand, but would be cool to have the option of using the log feature to output to a file instead of a tweet.

Also last i checked I wasn't clear if this was syncing between devices still.

Keep up the great work!
