Non-standard library functions

Would you consider non-standard functions like traverse and sequence typical to libraries like cats? Is that more of a seperate site/project?

This guide was initially created to be focused on the standard Scala collections, although it's open to host more graphical functions for other Scala ecosystem libraries/frameworks, like #23.

I'm not very familiar with the Cats library, it would be helpful to have an initial list of functions to be considered as "essential" to be listed in this "new" category.
