Getting all categories via the production api?

Is there a way to get at all anpa_categories via the production api? I'm writing a prodapi-to-graphql middleware and want to use categories to create a navigation menu for e.g. gatsby-js.

If not, what other ways are there, cli, direct connections to mongodb or elastisearch?
