Substratum doesnt work on any android version!

Used the latest version of substratum on many devices on every single android version including custom roms and always getting an error saying "Please compile before applying" and when i do it just ends either in a error or success but still does the samething...nuts it even doesnt even wanna enable the overlays properly and still tells me to compile any theme with no straight solutions to fix it so this is a app issue that needs some serious attention!

This is a very useless report in its current state. You have not attached any of the logs that substratum outputs on theme errors nor have you described any aspect of your device environment. Edit the original post to add those before anybody can actually try to understand what you haven't figured out about using the app.

@pspgodman we need at minimum device name, android version, what ROM, substratum operating mode (Andromeda, synergy, root, system service, etc), if you've tried more than one theme, substratum or substratum lite and what version of subs /lite/Andromeda

Because I know it works fine here, moto z3 play (Havoc-OS 2.9, Resurrection Remix 7.0.2, stock pie) and oneplus-6t (Havoc-OS, AOSiP OxygenOS). There's gotta be an error somewhere and without that basic information we don't know what
