Better MailChimp integration

Currently I made it so that the subscribe button just links to the mailchimp page of the Spectator. Making it so that instead we utilize the subscription method we had before that just sends a request to mailchimp would be great, just because I think the subscribe window on the spectator's website looks prettier than the mailchimp page.

Where is the subscription method that we had before?

you can check out the edit history of the subscribe button, but essentially it's just a span that then records the subscriber's email and puts it into the database
