We have APIConnect, Datapower and IIB integration stack for enterprise ESB. For one of the microservices project we are planning to use IBM API microgateway as a local microgateway. Please advise if its production ready and being used in production for any client. Also please advise if any licensing or support cost that we need to worry about. We already have IBM API connect licenses. What is the level of support available for this product? Would Microgateway supported on Openshift and docker?

API Microgateway is supported for production-use. Since its a Node.js-based application, you would need to apply Node.js security hardening practices and following existing operational procedures for managing Node.js-based applications.

We don't track customer usage of our products, but we are aware of customers using it for their production workloads.

For pricing, can you reach out to the IBM sales rep on your account.

API Microgateway support is based on the Node.js environment, so packaging it with Docker and running on an orchestration environment is not an issue.
