🎯 Primary Focus: 🛠 maintenance

• Complete current work in progress on maintenance/updates for various projects.
• Planning future work, with focus on enabling complete workflows between the Desktop/CLI client and the Hub.

We are in the middle of transitioning our processes to use new sprint cycles and planning, and have existing work in progress which needs to be wrapped up.
Additionally the roadmapping exercise, to be done this week, will be used to identify priorities for the next sprint cycle.

🏁 Sprint No. 3

🎯 Primary Focus: 🛠 maintenance

Developing the foundation for presenting executable document previews served by the Web client inside the Desktop application.

🥕 Motivation

After last week's planning session, we decided to focus on enabling users to preview and execute Jupyter Notebook based projects on their local machines.
To do so we need to change the method of how we're loading document previews in the Desktop app, and prepare for upcoming features.

🏁 Sprint No. 4

🎯 Primary Focus: 🛠 maintenance

Continuation of previous week's focus of serving document previews.
This required refactoring of how we're encoding HTML both during article conversion, as well as updating dynamic parts of our Web Components.

🥕 Motivation

Refactoring was necessary in order to enable communication between the Web Client (which is responsible for management of the executable document state, as well as communication with various kernels) and the custom WebComponents responsible for providing styled user interfaces.

🏁 Sprint No. 5

🎯 Primary Focus: 🛠 maintenance

• Continued maintenance and work on carryover items for the Alfonsino milestone from previous sprint
• Supporting the Open Publishing Fest webinar demo segment: previewing Jupyter Notebook project, and publishing it on the Hub.

We are participating in the Open Publishing Fest and would like to present a refined workflow of working on executable projects with Stencila tooling.

🏁 Sprint No. 6

🎯 Primary Focus: 🛠 maintenance

• Refine and refactor some of our code related WebComponent APIs to support upcoming server/client side changes
• Improve test coverage of Desktop client

🥕 Motivation

We're continuing work on features and refinements necessary for supporting reactive documents, and the related changes to the code execution server/clients.
In parallel we want to make the Desktop client a reliable, approachable, and delightful introduction to the Stencil workflow. To do so, we want to improve our trust in the software through testing, and the overall visual polish of the application.

Final push towards wrapping up the Alfonsino milestone. Focussing heavily on the HTML codec and custom WebComponents for rendering interactive elements found in executable articles.

HTML generation from Jupyter Notebook files is essential for both previewing and executing articles both on the user's local machine as well as for published articles.

🎯 Primary Focus: 🛠 maintenance

Bug fixes and wrap up of in-progress tasks.

🥕 Motivation

In the previous couple of sprints we added support for Parameter components within articles.
To wrap up the year we are focussing on addressing small but impactful quality-of-life bug fixes and tying up loose ends before ringing in the new year.
