I think that this should be split in several isuues:

  • Adding alternatives
  • Translate documentation
  • Translate sections (home, community, downloads)
  • Translate layout (nav bar, footer) using databags

Also I think we will have to wait to complete the first milestone, there are many things missing

PD: Translation It's a good reason to create a flow block for the home banner #14

Lets turn this issue into an epic that aggregates the other sub issues.

Could you please create the separate issues and add them to this Epic (this is a zenhub thing)

To note, in #41 @rlaverde mentions that

There is a plugin for lektor numericube/lektor-i18n-plugin although is outdated and not working.

It seems this plugin has continued to be at least somewhat maintained since, with the latest changes in Dec 2021 (with that comment being originally made in 2017). Therefore, it may be a viable option if we want to purse translating the website, as we plan to for the Spyder docs.
